Rainbow Party Pasta

 

Rainbow Party Pasta? Yes please! This is such a fun way to dress up any pasta salad, and a great way for kids to feel like it is a fun dish to have at their party. 

What you need:

Pasta

Food dye

Ziplock storage bags. One for each color.

1: Boil the pasta to el dente. This means cooked, but still firm. 

2. Strain off the pasta and run cold water over it to stop the cooking process, and to rinse off the starches.

3. Add 1 Tablespoon of water and about 5 drops of food color to each bag.

4. Divide up the pasta into the bags.

5. Seal the bags and mix the pasta and colored water together.

6. Allow the pasta bags to sit in the fridge. Overnight it best. The pasta will absorb the colored water and soften the pasta the rest of the way.

7. Mix the colored pastas together and make your pasta salad!
